What is C.O.A.C.H.?

C.O.A.C.H. (Coaching schools to face Change a head) is a collaboration of 9 partners across 7 European countries focused on social coaching. C.O.A.C.H.'s main goal is to introduce a new role to education: 'the Education Coach' able to strengthen quality processes, effective cooperation and well-being in schools. How

How to become an education coach?

The C.O.A.C.H. training programme consists of seven modules and creates the opportunity to gain fresh perspectives, enhance decision-making skills and develop greater interpersonal effectiveness and increased confidence. The trainees will participate in two stages. In the first stage of the programme they will 'do' coaching, in the second stage they will gain a deeper awareness on how to 'be' a coach.

How can coaching help education?

C.O.A.C.H. research shows how coaching can help education in coping with change and innovation. The research has been conducted among head teachers, teachers and staff in schools in five EU countries (Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Romania and Turkey) to register and highlights the positive effects of coaching in education.

Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them.
